I'm just a stranger on the internet, but oh, how I hear you. π

When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy, one hell of a roller-coaster ride I won't soon forget
Popped in to the grocery store for a few last minute items. $63 total, $48 of which was cheese. That pretty much encapsulates my eating habits between Xmas and New Year's.
Montrealer. Can confirm. Exquisite way of putting it.
Today, I caught up on my freelance invoicing. Or if you prefer, I quantified my procrastination, and it's sobering.
Highly recommend the audiobook, which includes throat singing
May you never encounter a flock of Canada geese. They will not only stand their ground - they'll charge you if you ever so politely ask whether they might want to, perhaps, consider moving along π¬π¦π¦<<<π¨π¦πͺΏ
A little jealous, I'll admit. This would be fun, although it would interfere with popcorn consumption.
Did something today that feels both bold and chickenshit, oddly enough. Let's see what happens.
Shit @rusty.todayintabs.com nailed it www.todayintabs.com/p/we-need-to...
2 revolutionaries who wore crosses.
Ozzy: Prince of Darkness. Raised millions for charity in his last days.
Hogan: "Say your prayers and eat your vitamins." Unrepentant racist and fascist supporter until the end.
Live so mourners don't have to caveat their grief.
Let's see: female rage, written by a fellow Canadian cat lady? Sold!
I'm the same way. I've had two near-misses with falling trees in my life - I'm wary of giving mother nature a third try. I'll be at the mall this afternoon until the storm passes.
The colour palette is phenomenal π
Depends on your natural colour and grey distribution. My hair is currently giving patchy, nutritionally deprived squirrel after a particularly harsh winter, so it needs help until it fills into more solidly grey. But I have friends who look great embracing it from the get-go.
Great article. That her ebook is not available in English from either McGill or the BanQ is unfathomable to me.
Seeing it on android phone, but not in chromium-based browser on desktop.
Yup
One's probably obvious. As for the rest...
Congratulations!
I had two cousins. Growing up in the late 70s/early 80s, one was into disco, and one was into heavy metal. I'm happy to see their spirits live on!
It most certainly is! One major breakfast chain makes about 20 variations, mostly involving hollandaise sauce. My fave is triple sausage with scrambled eggs, and my fiancΓ© enjoys the brie and mushroom. One gazillion calories, easy.
Taco Delulu should be his drag name
Montreal suburban gen X. I haven't heard it, and if I did, I would think they are a native French speaker. I've heard I'm done, but not with a specified object after. I'm guessing it means I've finished, while I'm done with means I don't want it anymore, even if there's some left.
Funny that, how common sense is always on your side.
Same. I hope apps like Libby will at least make it possible to exclude AI narrators in their search function
In French, they call it "l'esprit de l'escalier," or staircase wit. It hits me way later too
I mean, it exists, so that puts it well ahead of over half their list - congratulations! (Disclosure: I have 2 days to finish House of Bone and Rain before my Libby loan expires. Loving it. Why am I on Bluesky right now?)
Silver lining: translation is the area of genAI least used by authors. Hey authors/publishers: this is one more reason to feature the names of your translators prominently. Same goes for designers and editors and so on. Otherwise, my $ stays in my pocket, just in case. #humanxl8 #saynotogenAI
Unacceptable. Nyx requires an upgraded canopy bed, plz
