Spent time (last 7 days: 9:10 h) Details such as Ecriture (writing), Logistik MVP, greenworks prebuilt, ...
I definitely love this kind of productive weekend π
Scheduled update: 82KB
I think my update system is pretty well optimized π
Additional tests helpers such as mapToScreencoordinates, checkRailway, getStationsFromSave
Added some additional test helpers
Logistik running on my Steam Deck
Alright, this is the day of *cool* posts, so, here's another one.
Logistik works perfectly on Linux :)
Still have to do some little UX improvements for the steam deck such as ... a way to quit the game π, or gamepad support, but still great to see :)

There was an unstable release for a while but I finally took some time to release prebuilts for the 0.22.0 version of greenworks & some of the latest nw.js/nodejs/electron versions :)
There are still some bugs with the most recent nw.js version on Linux, but that's still better than it was :)
Real time example of this test execution
Implementation of a cypress test: - Loading the page and removing all the saves - Loading the menu, map generator - Filling arguments and checking them - Starting a new game - Checking the game save - Checking the available tools
A function dedicated to check the game save: - Checking that all buildings are present - Checking ids are unique and consecutive - Checking coordinates are within bounds
Some of the I've done this morning on Logistik: visual improvements to have better train animations, better looking errors (toasts), cleanup/refactoring, improved type checking, new automated test who helped fix issues on the game and improve things
Here's what the test look like, pretty cool, huh?
A picture of my desktop setup. Left screen: stargate universe S1E1 Center screen: Sublime text with the code for Logistik Right screen: Discord + Lumen (my personal assistant)
My setup for this morning brings me back a few years in the past, won't lie, I love it π
My game on the center, stargate on the left. Everything's ready for a cozy gamedev morning!
Happy to share :)
I also had a few sales/fests that didn't do any bump pre-release, mainly because there was no demo (yet) for the said game, I think.
Hi, here's a summary:
On Extortion (released): Release, then 3 programmer's fest (2023/2024/2025)
On Alchemistry (released): Next Fest/Release, 10th review, Wholesome Fest 2024
On Manufactur'inc (not released): Next Fest
On Logistik (not released): no bump yet π
US: 1168 copies Germany: 295 France: 286 China: 271 Russia: 246 UK: 217 Canada: 131 Australia: 106 Netherlands: 60 Ukraine: 56 Poland: 52 Turkey: 50 Brazil: 50 Japan: 46
Yesterday someone asked me about the map on Discord. There are 91 territories on the list (most are countries, some are oversea territories)
And here are the top ones (by copies sold, for both games):
Yep, and the wishlist API they published a few weeks ago.
The followers part is a xml thingie on the store page.
I'm still using the old way by reversing but if that can help, the source code: github.com/L-U-M-E-N/Lu... and the underlying lib I wrote: github.com/Dysnomia-Stu...
Thanks π
This is just parts of it ahah
It's even easier now that they're adding some real APIs to query data. Because when I started this, had to do some ugly things with the partner backend (csv exports, exporting cookies, ...) to make it work π
(Ah, yeah, reviews column isn't up to date because I haven't automated it yet, it's just a test)
Lots of stats about my games. Sorry screen readers peeps, it's too much to describe!
It's been a while since I've shared these stats, here are some updated stats on my games!

My brain is ... complex sometimes. Like, I realized, I need novelty, lots of it to feel satisfied and motivated, otherwise I procrastinate.
And I don't want too much novelty because new things can create anxiety.
I just realized that and now I'm like π€ͺ
Maybe he's the reason why genai add fingers to some generated pics π
I tried, it's definitely not worth the effort marketing wise.
It can be interesting if you want to share to an existing community about some cool stuff, but it's definitely not a tool to get visibility π
Yup, not everyone, but I heard multiple dev did that
Oh okay π
Basically, everything they plan to earn on kickstarter, they spend it on ads for the kickstarter. So eventually they don't earn money, but have lots of visibility.
Sounds like a risky bet for me but some people do that π
Which part didn't you understand in my message? The second paragraph?
Yep!
Steam cut is painful but I'm not even sure Kickstarter would give a bigger cut, after user acquisition costs, platform costs, ...
I also heard that a common strategy there is to use the whole kickstarter budget just to market the kickstarter page and the game as a consequence π
Kickstarter gives more money but wreck your visibility on Steam if you give steam keys (less money on the plateform = less visibility, algorithm wise).
So it's difficult to say.
Also, usually, kickstarter user acquisition cost is pretty high π
Works, well, posts there have been divided by ~10! Still have some keywords to add in the list, but it's a good start!
Just started working on the time management related features in Logistik :)
Since I now have a real simulation working, it's not a huge workload to make it work c:

n8n workflow with a scoring system. Some words give negative points, some give positive and I get shown only positive/zero scores
Currently improving my n8n setup so I'll stop being spammed by tons of unrelated reddit/bsky posts in my private discord channel (what an idea to call my games common words, huh!).
So I just set up a scoring system in a sub-workflow to try improving this:
Oh, and, I always forget: wishlist the game if you're interested π
Btw, I don't use mental blockage lightly. I wasn't able to do this for months. And when I finally have been able to focus (and had the solution in mind) it took a bit more than an hour π
There's still some TODOs but I have the basics working! :)
