Just a month ago the Tanzanian govt & the World Bank made promises to end ranger violence.
But, the violence hasn’t stopped.
Villagers are being killed, their cattle stolen, their lives destroyed. The WorldBank MUST take responsibility and act now. Every day of silence costs lives.

New York City, Washington, DC, and Somerville, MA - It has been two months since recent Columbia graduate Mahmoud Khalil was abducted from the lobby of his apartment building as his pregnant wife watched in horror. It has been seven weeks since Georgetown postdoctoral researcher Badar Khan Suri was seized outside his home. It has been six weeks since Tufts graduate student Rümeysa Öztürk was snatched from the street by masked agents. Still held in detention in Texas and Louisiana, these scholars are accused of no crime, facing only baseless charges of antisemitism for speaking against Israel's devastating war in Gaza. University leaders have yet to forcefully condemn these attacks or the lies behind them. But Mahmoud, Badar and Rümeysa are not forgotten by their colleagues, professors, and fellow students. And we will gather every week on campus to bear witness to these abductions until every one of them comes home.

If you want to defend Israel’s actions in Gaza, the sole topic of conversation is if it’s okay to forcibly purge an entire population from their historic homeland by systematically bombing, shooting and starving them while destroying their civilian infrastructure, solely because of their ethnicity.
