Yep! Which in turn took the name from a brewery in the City of London that Fullers had acquired!

The Griffin has always had that name (to my knowledge) and actually ended up lending its name to Brentford's old ground, a rare example of a football ground named after a pub!

Up there as one of my favourite pubs in the country. Perfect on a sunny Sussex day!

That's very sad news. Had a few email exchanges with him about his excellent detective work on The Tipperary pub and some of the myths around the name.

Probably the London pub in my book I'm saddest I didn't visit. It sounded really special with that interior.
