I'm genuinely trying to be a good citizen and pay what I owe, but they are making it genuinely difficult for me to give them my money - and then they keep sending me notices that I owe them.
I've used the web portal to complain. I may need to just go see someone in person and just argh.
The latest financial argh? In addition to my earlier, larger tax liability, Maryland has sent me another bill for $75. At this point it feels like a shakedown. And of course their online portal isn't letting me set up a payment plan for the larger debt, and I can't reach anyone via phone. 🫠

If you found me from tiny space paintings, I wanted to share a not-so-tiny painting! This spire of is 9.5 light years tall. It resides in the Eagle Nebula near the more famous Pillars of Creation. I named this piece Leviathan’s Wake—a fun nod to two of my favorite things, The Expanse + Subnautica 🐉
