Yea mine are indoor only but have chips (recently now required in my country) and also wear AirTags on their collars. Just in case.
My solution might be OTT, but solves for the same case of gradual feeding and not stealing each others’ food. They have individual ikea bestå cupboards with chip reader cat-flaps. Then a normal unprotected feeder inside each. The cat flaps read their under-the-skin microchips, not collar fobs.

As a replacement for bounties, these are excellent.
As a replacement for seasonal challenges, my pain points are around bright dust rewards. The total amount, and also going on holiday for a week or two and missing out on the weekly ones with vanguard orders, instead of catching up with challenges.
