Health care shouldn’t depend on your zip code, income, or immigration status.

Law enforcement officials also can’t enter private areas for patients and anyone accompanying them without a warrant.

6️⃣ You have rights. If Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or Customs and Border Protection (CBP) enter a PP health center, their ability to enforce immigration laws is limited by the Fourth Amendment.

5️⃣ Your privacy is safe; it's the law. Your data, health records, and other information are protected by The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

4️⃣ Some payment options require a photo ID. If you pay by credit card, debit card, or third-party health insurance, you’ll need a form of identification with a picture of yourself on it.

2️⃣ Even if you don't qualify for health insurance, there are other ways to cover your care. Ask the health center staff about options for paying for your care.

3️⃣ Many PP health centers require a form of identification to enter the building. You may need some form of personal identification with you.

If you’re an undocumented person visiting a Planned Parenthood (PP) health center, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1️⃣ You do not need to tell our staff your immigration status in order to receive services or care from Planned Parenthood.

Gender-affirming care is health care.

President Trump and Congressional Republicans refused to extend the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits — all in service of their billionaire backers' tax breaks, while health care premiums soar for the rest of us.

In 2025, the Trump admin and its backers in Congress “defunded” Planned Parenthood as part of a years-long strategy to shut down Planned Parenthood health centers, strip abortion access, and block people from getting sexual and reproductive health care.
