Apple appeals to overturn UK government's 'back door' order, FT reports Apple has appealed a British government order to create a "back door" in its most secure cloud storage systems, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The #encryption debate is back—again. Apple disables E2EE in the UK under gov pressure but is also fighting back in court. In 2016, I shared Tim Cook’s stance when the FBI pushed for a backdoor. The stakes are just as high; is it really security if privacy keeps getting sacrificed?
