I never expect anyone to Px for me if they don’t feel comfy. Just found it disappointing they would refuse & ask for expert opinion, then refuse the (female) expert opinion.
Had some amazing care though. Menopause consultant has literally changed my life.

In fairness, only had a couple bad experiences. The other time, GP wouldn’t Px HRT as he wasn’t confident due to my existing conditions. Menopause consultant & haematologist came up with a plan that GP refused to prescribe as he didn’t agree. I may have suggested misogyny was at play. New GP is fab.
I had an interesting experience. I saw same GP x2, second time I had come straight from a meeting at work (wearing formal attire) I was listened to and involved. Yet when I had presented previously wearing very casual clothes he didn’t even make eye contact and was very dismissive. Fascinating.
