it's very complicated, but as much as I miss him I'm glad he didn't make it to this day and age.

the hardest thing that got me today though is that dad was and to this date still been my greatest source of artistic encouragement. He would let me talk and talk and talk and talk about my stories and rps, and he probably didn't understand a lot of it, but he'd always be so excited when I showed

All things absolutely considered, my dad passing RIGHT before Trump announced his first campaign was probably the best timing. At least rn I do have fond feelings, another year and I might have cut my dad out of my life with the way he was going.

grief is such a wild thing. August has steadily been getting easier and easier to bare over the past decade, and the anniversary isn't until Monday, but because the events leading up to everything happend in a Wednesday Thursday Friday sequence, my brain is hitting the remember button /too much./

The last two days have been me violently swapping between trying to swat the doom thoughts away and yearning for a life where I'm TRULY satisfied and happy. The yearning for a partner has been... bad the last month.
