The Christmas bird count for kids went tremendously well this morning. We had a great turnout of family and kids and everyone got to see birds. A total of 20 species of birds were seen by the three groups. Huge thanks to the Guelph Lake Nature Centre staff. We will plan to make this an annual event.
Tomorrow we are reviving Christmas Bird Count for Kids here in Guelph, Ontario. Should be a great morning enjoying our winter birds.
I was honoured last night with the presentation of the Scott Beemer Nature Award by Nature Guelph at their AGM. Apparently I was awarded it due to my work with our Bird Wing group and my puns. I am truly humbled by this award. Thanks to those who nominated me.
