I love the Christmas lights in Sheffield this year.

Especially the trees at the top of Fargate and in Leah’s Yard.

A picture from my run pitstop in Sheffield General Cemetery yesterday.

I think that’s the Royal Hallamshire Hospital peeking out from the foliage.

Jet-setting great-great-grandmother Joyce Eileen Slater celebrates 100th birthday She’s travelled all over the world and loves a good social, but great-great grandmother Joyce Eileen Slater, 100, has only ever had eyes for Sheffield.

What a lovely 100th story - happy birthday to jet-setting Sheffielder Joyce!

I wonder how long 100th birthdays will still be news?

I also had an acoustic neuroma, which was removed at the Hallamshire, and have been deaf in one ear since.

What an amazing neurology department they have there - we are so lucky in Sheffield to have it.
