Why do I feel guilty every time I go to the grocery store just to get necessities? I know damn well how hard I work and how little I'm paid for my labor. I know that grocery store chains and food distributors are price gouging. But man it's deep in my head that I did something wrong and I hate it.

I hit publish for the Eye of the Wood audiobook on October 3rd. It is still processing on all services... ooof. I guess when I actually release full length novel ones I will put up for sale on my website as well, cause 3 months lag time is absolutely ridiculous.
Pretty sure I understand Foucault. I've been teaching him for 10 years. How about you don't post something on your own page passive aggressively and simply hold a dialog here like someone who actually wants to discuss like a mature adult.
Absolutely

To quote Modest Mouse, "Who would want to be such an asshole."
Like one of my students saying they can't finish an assignment without excessive amounts of quotes π
A truly incredible series! I cannot recommend it enough. What a fascinating ending.

Last week I entered a contest over at Reedsy for a short story. The result? A comedic piece about a Zombie suddenly remembering himself (and he might just have the cure) check it out for free over at my substack open.substack.com/pub/loridian... or at my website Loridianslaboratory.com
3/3 I don't know the answer, but I want to understand. I choose to practice empathy, even with people who hate me and I remember that I don't have to like something (I can find it disgusting), but I should try to understand the why of people. If nothing else, I'll better understand myself.
2/3 It helps us to figure out these important questions of the relationship between free speech and respect and what we as a society value. This discussion, though painful and difficult, is an opportunity for humans to grow through dialog and interaction.
