New post in the long-defunct Table for One series, putting Victory Games' France '44, a 1986 Mark Herman design, through its paces with a decidedly solitaire slant. Come for the innovative movement and combat systems, stay for my rants about counter side nibs . . .

New post in the Doctor Who Project, unravelling "The Curse of Fenric" with the Seventh Doctor and Ace. 1940s Britain plays host to aquatic vampires, Viking runes, ancient evils, and impossible chess puzzles, with a strange cameo by Soviet commandos . . . #DoctorWho

New post in the Doctor Who Project, tracking down the "Ghost Light" haunting an old mansion alongside the Seventh Doctor and Ace. Turns out it's an irate librarian upset that thousands of years of work cataloging Earth's species has been ruined by evolution. #DoctorWho

New post in the Doctor Who Project, following the Seventh Doctor and Ace to a "Battlefield" pitting UNIT against trans-dimensional knights with grenades, all seeking Excalibur. Two different Brigadiers make an appearance, as does beloved Bessie. #DoctorWho

New post in the Doctor Who Project, visiting "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" with the Seventh Doctor and Ace. Part fever dream, part extended metaphor for the series itself, the story regardless features the creepiest clowns ever put to screen. #DoctorWho

Mine wasn't very interesting this time around. Mostly just MH: Wilds and some train simming.
Just the PS5 MSFS pre-order, otherwise nothing from the sales. Keeping my powder dry this season, it would seem.
I had a blast with them back in the day, with a "flight stick" that was barely more than an eight-way controller with a single trigger. Enjoy!
It is quite tempting, Ed. The controllers with the slide-in control templates are spot on . . .
New post in the Doctor Who Project, watching the Seventh Doctor and Ace unleash the "Silver Nemesis" on a bunch of hapless Cybermen while a noblewoman from the seventeenth century figures out temporal travel (with a little help from a certain Time Lord). #DoctorWho

New post in the Doctor Who Project, fighting against fake smiles, an android made of nougat, and the overbearing saccharine of "The Happiness Patrol" with the Seventh Doctor and Ace. #DoctorWho

New post in the Doctor Who Project, going back to pre-decimal days as the Seventh Doctor and Ace engage in some "Remembrance of the Daleks" in 1963 London. What could have been cheap nostalgia turns into one of the best stories in years to start Season 25. #DoctorWho

Indeed. The customizable ship/base is a brilliant addition. I might have to fire it back up and check it out.
No, never did, though I hear it was well received.
Congrats! That was certainly the hardest fight of the game for me. Took me way (way) more than 12 tries, I will confess.
That's a tricky bit for sure. Worth pushing through to the end of that one.
A laudable goal, for sure. Between Steam and PS, I shudder to think how many unplayed games I have in the queue . . .
Just zipping through the backlog! Always a good feeling.
That, I understand. The sweet spot seems to be about half that length these days -- long enough to grab your attention, but short enough that it doesn't become a job by the end.
Nice job clearing up the backlog. I dropped it after an early mission that I just never clicked with -- a close air support mission, I think -- so I get where you're coming from.
That keyboard has seen some things, man . . .
My rule is simple: see Gary in a post, click "like"!
New post on Movement Point, un-bagging the latest Advanced Squad Leader product from @multimanpublishing.bsky.social, Drop Zone: Chef-du-Pont, a tiny, tidy Historical Module that proves you don't need a hundred new counters to deliver a solid, fresh gaming experience.

New post in the Doctor Who Project, seeking out the "Dragonfire" in the caverns beneath Iceworld with the Seventh Doctor, Mel, Sabalom Glitz, and new companion Ace. Instead they find a steady stream of barely disguised science fiction film references. #DoctorWho

You, sir, are the king of hours per dollar spent on entertainment! Congrats on beating (most) of it. I should give it another go what with the new patch and all.
New post in the Doctor Who Project, going on vacation with the Seventh Doctor, Mel, and "Delta and the Bannermen" to a bright holiday camp in 1950s Wales. You know it's a special story when the man who talks with bees isn't the strangest plot element . . . #DoctorWho

There's a lot of game there, no question!
Some nice pics on the roll, Ed. Thanks for sharing. Good to see road trips that aren't just twelve hours on the Interstate.
New post in the Doctor Who Project, touring "Paradise Towers" with the Seventh Doctor and Mel, featuiring luxe amenities such as cannibals, color coordinated teen gangs, killer cleaners, and the disembodied brain of an evil architect. Nice rooftop pool, too! #DoctorWho

Thank you for your commentary here throughout this remarkable season. When watching was too nerve-wracking, it helped to see your posts, just slightly ahead of the action on TV . . .
