After BFC, let me just say thanks to everyone who took the time to say hi and especially to everyone who helped make me feel included. Sadly I didn't really get to attend any of the events I wanted to this year, so I'm sorry to the friends who were running panels, I wish I could have stopped by.

To be clear, this isn't a dig at anyone who does so this. As long as everyone's consenting and informed, that's fine. Just my personal take.

Which really applies to anything I post. No shade intended, opinions are my own, not facts, etc.

So while I've occasionally joked about charging for babysitting services like bedtime stories, changes, all that good stuff, in all honesty the idea is pretty uncomfortable for me. Caretaking is all about the emotional connection for me, and faking that for cash just would not work for me at all.

Tugging on a sleeve and plaintive eyes can say a lot.

A quick word of advice for folks looking for attention from caretakers: Sometimes you're gonna have to make the first move. I know that's tough and scary, but us Big types can't always tell if folks are interested, so a polite introduction to see if there's maybe mutual interest can be helpful.

Everyone has their own comfort zone, and this community is at its best when we support one another despite the different ways we express ourselves and find validation and safety. So whether you're just curious about ABDL or you've been here for years, let's give everyone room to experiment and grow.

If people like to wear diapers but don't want to use them? That's fine! Want to use them for some things and not others? You do you! Some people just want to cuddle plushies and watch cartoons and never touch a diaper at all, and that's valid. Still others just want the diapers, no kiddo stuff.

Once again, the A in ABDL stands for adult, which means accepting that adults like different things. Please don't try to tell people that they "have to" express an interest in this kink or community in the same way you do. It's fine to give people a safe space to explore, but don't force things.

Part of the reason I bring this up is that it's not always obvious that you've had a profound impact on people's lives, happiness, and sense of self worth. So even if it feels like the good you try to do, (even in a kink community) goes unseen, you can be helping people more than you realize.

Some of the most humbling, and fulfilling, moments I've had as a caretaker have been when people let me know that something I've done or said has helped them experience a Little headspace despite anxiety or self consciousness. Those are huge hurdles for many people and it feels really good to help.

Caretaker Tip: Don't be afraid to interrupt your Little's gaming session for a diaper check or change. It's a good reminder of what they're wearing and of their real age even if you let them pay big kid games.

Bonus points for loudly announcing what you're doing so any friends on voice know, too.

Applies to anyone prominent in the fandom, I focused really hard on "doing the right thing" to the exclusion of reading the room or making the most of opportunities to stay close to people.

Not really any point to picking at it now, just late night thoughts.

When I first started it in the fandom, I constantly heard that artists were just being bombarded by folks faking friendship for free art, and I resolved to never be that guy, but I think I overcorrected. I feel like I ended up too distant and cautious for years and I probably messed up friendships.

"Aww, look how cute you are, kneeling there with your collar, harness, and diaper. Doesn't it feel good to know that I'm holding your leash, telling you what to do, what to think? I thought so. Now then, let's see how well trained our new Service Puppy is after finishing Obedience School."

Yeah, it's one reason YCHs where I don't get to bid on every slot just don't interest me. The actual connection with my partner in a scene is kinda the whole point for me.

Your excuse for not being in diapers is that you're "not a baby"? What's that got to do with anything? There's plenty of other reasons to be in diapers. They're comforting, they make you feel safe, it makes the babies who do need them feel better, or just simply because I said you belong in diapers.

These are all super precious and you two are so great for one another.

I know a lot of Littles have thought "Being babied would fix me" but did you know that caretakers can have that same feeling from the other side? It's true! And today is definitely a day where I want to go home, pad up someone cute, and pull their diapered butt into my lap for a good few hours.
