Some parts of Network in LC are worse than how the original DS did it. In the DS version, there was a Data Update feature that lets you update your data to the server without doing anything else, then your Brothers can update and get the latest data even if you’re offline.

To get Mega Complete, I need ProtoMan chips… but to level him up, I need to complete jobs, but I can’t bc some jobs give out HP Memory. So the way to go is to Trader roll the EX & SP chips!
Not possible in JP because BugFrag Trader is only after the Mega Complete door (doesn’t exist in EN).
BN Virtual Console all marks run: BN6 English, 140 HP run (No HP Memory)
A standard BN6 run, not that much tougher. But it’s interesting they made it possible to get all marks in the English version without doing all Request BBS.

There’s a few funny tricks, like FullCust to Turn 2 faster so getting Dark Chip is guaranteed. Playable Navis using evil chips is fun, but aside from DS Navis, they come too late for use.
Concluded BN4 DS Navis is better for story. Getting hit to boost means I have to play bad.
While I was Navi hunting, I had a realization; why am I using Dark Chips? They’re weaker that I don’t get a power trip, so I have to work harder. Normal chips useless since I don’t get Double Soul or FullSync x2. Chaos Unison outmodes Evil bc use is near infinite. Felt like I’m nerfing myself.

Kinda mid. The Dark Chip nerf is so sad. I get to use strong chips but it’s not guaranteed Turn 1, can’t use it in half the battles (playable Navis). Static was hit too, so can’t have 4 until postgame.
Made sure Chip Trader trick an extra GrabRevenge too.
I knew from playing 4.5 that I wanted to try GrabBanish in story, but didn’t know it’d synergize with Static! The boost does more than Static alone, then Banish deals more. Not returning panels in 4 means extra copies help a lot.
Had to go Light for V1 and SP chips, but Static is so good, I don’t use Dark Chip in some battles anyway. So switching is easy. Even accidentally under 10 sec w/ Dark Chips & they register in Records.
Also didn’t need to GMD/BFT hunt non-version DS Navi chips! Didn’t consider that perk.
1HP actually helped out since I only get high damage high HP Dark chips, & none of low HP chips. Made it easier for Dark Soul Unison & dish out damage even faster.
A power trip & different from normal MegaMan’s play style. Just what I wanted from a cursed form.

An absolute blast. Unique play style where I get OP chips Turn 1 & I have to figure out how to manage form deterioration if the battle goes too long. Loved optimizing Evil chips and NaviCust bugs.
I did some funny stuff and doing chip grinding early for fun, but it’s irrelevant to Normal Style’s usefulness. There’s no reason to play this way, the base MegaBuster only does x5 in this game and anything it can do, Aqua Styles will do better.

It’s kinda mid. Perks for this are FighterSword series (VC perk!) & the fast charging Buster. Was fun at first using it as a rush attack, but late game it didn’t matter & basically played like a lite-Custom Style, so what’s the point?
Fun w/ Break Charge bc I get a fast CS that goes thru anything, but juggling Press in & BN3’s slow charges hindered it long run.
But it’s not pure Normal run bc need Team Style V4 chips. Custom Style chips rolled in trader. Tried Muramasa trader-only for fun since it’s not an ingame lotto. Not bad.
I did unusual Battle Network all marks Virtual Console runs for save states & wanted catalogue: Starting w/ BN3 Normal Style-only run.
Miserable run that made me cry bc of BN3’s NaviCust. No fun programs bc have to be in Styles & only benefit (the buster) is trapped in huge pieces.
