I just wish it worked better with intermittent cell signal and it would be perfect. Having it automatically switch to offline mode when you’re already listening to a downloaded playlist on the subway would be godsend.

I don’t think it’s just a you thing. I tried to make it work for projects but there are a lot of rough edges and major bugs. E.g. the http2 implementation was broken, and gRPC connections wouldn’t emit close or goaway signals for the longest time.

Lol I feel a little dumb. I’ve been telling folks they can message the GolangNYC account here on Bluesky to RSVP or volunteer to speak but had the chat option off 🤦‍♂️

Is it not controlled by a meta tag in the <head> block of your html? So in your markdown it would probably be “og_image = ‘path/to/image’” in the front matter of the post.

Crazy how much muscle mass you can lose when not eating enough and working out for 9 months lol. Feels great to get back in the gym.

I think I’m more relieved I don’t have to juggle doing grocery deliveries for Instacart for pennies between interviews, even if it was a little fun riding my bike around JC/Manhattan.

Been on the job search for the past 8 months on and off, with a brutal gauntlet the past 12 weeks of almost non stop interviews. But finally the search is over 🥳

Makes sense to me, it is web scale after all.

I think there’s a trend starting with some AI crawlers spoofing the agent and referral source to avoid detection when aggressively scraping sites now.

Discovered the reasons I struggled with regular things in life like school/work/ could be due to undiagnosed ADHD and led me down the path of getting properly diagnosed.

Zed is a decent successor from the creator of Atom.

A screenshot from the GitHub iOS app that Steven Turturo took while trying to fall asleep at 3:55AM EDT of a response of a potential AI bot commenting on GitHub issues within the Nuxt UI GitHub repository.

theoriginalstove: “@edulml98 great call out! Though I think the settings for Windows/Linux look the same?

Regardless, I’m on macOS and and using "args": “mcp-remote",
"https://ui.nuxt.com/mcp"] worked for me.
I opened a PR to update the docs so others don't have to dig through open issues to correctly configure Zed to use the MCP server or attempt to create their own extension lol”

edulml98: “@theoriginalstove You are right, I have updated the comment with the correct configuration for windows.”

Mmm something about this commenter screams AI to me… doesn’t actually have any or commit to any repos but comments on a bunch of others about MCP settings for Zed?

Lol nope. I just know the fridge is now going to hold my food for ransom. Subscribe or your ice cream goes warm. And showing someone pantomiming vulgar scenes 🤣

It's really annoying when companies/websites will still include you in their marketing email campaigns even when, at the time of sign up, you did not opt in to receive said emails...

Instacart might? I’ve had to shop and deliver orders for Kohls and Sephora in my area.

The feed is the most annoying thing on LinkedIn as a job seeker. Oh that post with a job that fits what you’re looking for? It’s old and they’re already done taking applications. How about a million posts for people you’re not interested in following or connected to.

Yes. I just think the numbers are even more inflated.

need people who wear shoes inside to understand that if you enter a shoeless household and ask someone if it’s ok to keep your shoes on and they say yes they aren’t letting it slide they just mentally committed to mopping the entire apartment the second you’re gone

We should have an event or maybe two for October. The goal is to have at least a coffee and code the 3rd Thursday of every month, with exceptions around maybe the holidays (depending on how everyone is feeling). Also trying to think of how we can include virtual attendees so it can atleast be hybrid

This years Gophercon has been the best time I’ve had at conference. Made some great friendships and got to meet a ton of fellow gophers. Looking forward to next year with Gophercon in Mexico #gopherconinmxorbust
