C.D.C. Cancels Publication of Study Showing Benefits of Covid Vaccines
Gift link to the story.
Bhattacharya’s problem with the study, of course, is that it adds to the enormous weight of evidence that he was wrong to advocate against COVID vaccines, and that his bad advice and policies have cost countless lives.

To be entirely fair, the current establishment Dems have largely been absent from the table and eating their own chess pieces when they think nobody is looking.

Chavez-DeRemer stepping down as Labor secretary
The scandal-ridden secretary is the latest member of President Donald Trump's Cabinet to exit.
Lori Chavez-DeRemer was a scandal-ridden disgrace but more importantly she ended up being a stooge for Trump's anti-worker, pro-billionaire policies.
America deserves leaders who stand up for working people and the middle-class.

RUIZ: Bloomberg reports that Trump & the WH have benched you because you're making the president look bad
RFK Jr: That's not true
RUIZ: I think the reporting is correct. You're making the president look bad. You talked publicly about snorting cocaine off a toilet bowl seat. Your words, not mine.

Apparently Sam Altman also wrote a manifesto (on top of Marc Andreessens a while back). Are there others?
Genuine question: why do we think the tech bros are doing this? Which need does this fulfill for them?

Calm down, computer software isn't making decisions about who lives and who dies in war. It merely processes a ton of data and then makes a recommendation to a human who has no realistic way to verify it

The secret fear of the morally depraved is that virtue is actually common, and that they're the ones who are alone. In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive-because of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority.
Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about "Western civilization," while armed brutes try to tear it down by force.
