Another solid season from a series I don’t think gets near the attention it deserves #DarkWinds

Stanford won the men's gymnastics national championship last night, extended its run of at least one NCAA title for 50 straight years. December column on the most remarkable all-sports streak on history: bit.ly/48UkJip
50 years of NCAA championships secured. Go Card 🌲🔥

Child: Mayor.
This year, the Valkyries have four of the top fifteen Euroleague players, including the defensive player of the year. Gonna be a solid team and a fun season. #WNBA
I'll just also add, that Tip was the only UFA to take that leap of faith with the Valks in their first season last year so it's especially good to see the Valks resign her for another year. #WNBA #GSV
this is fucking nuts:
There's no vibe without Vi.

Publicity poster for Shrinking Season 3
This was easily the series’ best season. Jessica Williams & Harrison Ford are still the absolute best part of the show, but I even liked Jimmy this season #Shrinking

Especially for someone who's been asked to score a lot at most stages of her development, Jocyte's a really nice passer. And she's so big/long for a perimeter player that she can physically make more passes than most guards/wings. You're going to enjoy her, Valks fans. #EuroLeagueWomen #WNBA
The crash-out folks are having over the draft trade the Valks made is excessive. I've never muted so many accounts in a day. I don't know how I feel about the move, but people are acting like they just blew up the entire organization.
I mean, I guess that is what happened, though.
I think this all comes down to cap space tbh. They wanted Marta but preferred to get her in the second round. I don't know how I feel about it, but I understand it. I don't think it's a crazy decision, but we'll see if it turns out to be a bad one
I'll really miss Temi but this isn't very surprising. Happy to see her on another team I plan to follow andget a pretty big pay day.
Confirmed with the WNBA that the deadline to trade draft picks was Sunday at 5pm eastern.
That means for the Valkyries and Storm to make their trade, they would have needed an agreement to trade whoever was selected. Seattle then told GSV to take Johnson, who they were surprised was available.
I kinda also think they were surprised as anyone that Johnson was still available or they would have asked for more for that trade than a 2nd round pick in 2 years (it does seem like Marta is the better fit for the team from what I'm seeing)
Good move or bad move, I think it's true. The Valks roster was mostly filled out, and the pay minimum for a first-round draft pick is higher than that of a 2nd round pick. I can completely see them trading away a first-round pick for salary cap reasons.
I think it’s likely Marta is the better fit for the Valks but I couldn’t figure out why they didn’t just draft her. This COULD be an explanation even it doesn’t completely sit well with me from a sort of human perspectives.
I'm not even mad about taking Suárez over Johnson. I assume Suárez fits their needs better. I'm just confused why they picked Johnson in the first place if that's the case. She was available, and a 2nd round pick in two years doesn't seem like much of a value add.
The Golden State Valkyries select Flau'jae Johnson with the No. 8 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.

Hell yeah baby WE ARE BACK
If you are a Valks fan I highly recommend you sign up for this. Marisa's coverage is some of the best.
