Today a less technical and more personal article. I currently celebrate the landmark of minus 50 kilograms in twelve months on my journey.

Memes image of Aragorn and Theoden with undercuts and earrings saying "Chat, the beacon notification just hit. Gondor's asking for a carry" and "Say less."
Was feeling melancholy, but then I dug up Theoden with an undercut from my vault of memes
And `Den`got a proper documentation now too.

A quiet, productive day so far:
- Released 0.4.0 of my ODM `Den` with new features and bug fixes.
- Switched my web framework `Burrow` from Bun to Den and released 0.11.0.
- Moved the documentation for Burrow to readthedocs.

High-level programing languages are just prompts for machine code.

The secret to a happier life a software engineer:
You start out with 50 different microservices, each one in its own separate repo.
You bring all of those as modules to the same monorepo.
Eventually, you decide to deploy them all as a monolith.
No one notices any difference.
You sleep better
I share this feeling. And I love the “3d-print” analogy. It hits the nail. Den hatched from the feeling of being unhappy with Bun and the desire to work more with documents. It started as an experiment and quickly evolved to something usable for me.
Next up on the list: Documentation for Den and replacing Bun in Burrow with Den. I love that by this change, Burrow gets proper PostgreSQL support besides SQLite.
Released my take off an object-document mapper (ODM) named Den to the public. So far it was a fun ride to built it. It took a lot of inspiration from Beanie, which I use in two projects I built and maintain for a close friend.

My Easter project "Build a little ODM for #golang and #python" makes good progress. Today I spent some time on the requirements document.
Da Carfriday nichts Rationales hat, habe ich Zweifel, dass dies durch Spritpreise beeinflusst wird.
PSF Security developers have published incident reports on the LiteLLM & Telnyx #supplychain attacks. Read what happened, who's affected, and what developers & maintainers can do to prepare and protect themselves from future incidents. #security #python
This document made my day. Now I can implement my ODM of dreams with SQLite and Postgres as a backend.

I've been called an AI maximalist and you have no idea how right you are. If you've connected to the Chatto Community within the last month, you will have talked to AI chatbots only. None of the other users there are real. Chatto isn't multiuser at all, that's why it's so lean. Joke's on you haha
The way a smart assistant works is, it processes information ahead of you, trims it down, and presents you with a couple of options to decide on. The way most people now use AI tools is the exact opposite. They’d gather all the information, throw it at the AI tool, and ask it to choose an option.
Insights from the recent meetups and Agentic Conf Hamburg in particular:
1) the Agentic Engineering community is positive, curious, and building cool shit;
2) none of us love being dependent on a handful of US companies;
3) all of us know that this dependence, like all things, is just temporary.
Here's a pretty thing: "Slow Loris," performed live against the NYC skyline by MEUTE. (Wondering how many of these folks are LSJUMB alumni.) #techno #brass #marchingband 🦄

The more I do with #golang, there more I appreciate the elegance of `context.Context`.
What a wonderful episode of “The Daily Show”. Just the right stuff for an evening in a hotel room on a business trip.

Just published a thread on our new @murmel.social account, announcing the V2.0 we've recently released.
Feel free to follow for more updates, and hopefully, see you soon on Murmel!

Photo taken at an aircraft cabin door: an orange sign featuring the Lufthansa logo (white crane in a circle). Below, “Willkommen / Welcome” is printed in white. Someone has added a handwritten note in blue pen reading: “Good Morning dear guests ♡ Happy Monday”. Passengers can be seen boarding in the plane.
Off to Oslo.
The combination of SSE, HTMX and OOB updates sparks so much joy.

Everything is packed for a 3-day trip to Oslo. And the good part about this business trip — I don't have to present myself. I just have to answer some questions and assure our customer gets the answers he is expecting from another customer we are visiting.
