On the new LVP flooring so they scattered everywhere?

I’ve been reading this series for that knit along too! Yours is matched beautifully with so much thought put into the colors — I just grabbed the socks I’d already been working on. 😅

I love them, but part of that is because my husband usually drives and I get to knit. Can you crochet in the car?

One of my kids takes great joy in trying to get his dirty socks on the high, hard to reach windowsills. 🙄

I’m very curious to know which car Elrond would be. 😂

You’re going to make a thread of cars as LOTR characters.

(Not Catholic, but Christian with lots of Catholic relatives and I’d go to mass with them sometimes growing up) — I’ve always thought that since God can get around the whole needing to have sex to get pregnant thing, then He’s powerful enough to get around birth control too. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I thought about that this year for the first time too!

There was a missing 7yo in my MN hometown last night (she was found safe!), & I saw from afar the whole community doing everything they could to help find her. It was beautiful to see and I’m so glad she’s okay, & I keep thinking about how this terrified 5yo deserves to come home to his family too.

It’s probably one of the best ideas I’ve ever had.

I’ve been listening to the audiobooks of the Hobbit and LOTR to help fall asleep at night. Each time I finish ROTK I try looking for something different, and I just circle right back to the Hobbit and start again.

It looks like it belongs in a slightly spooky children’s book.

This is beautiful, Amy. It was a nice read to start my day with today.

It’s obnoxious.

It’s so triangular that it makes me want a slice of pizza.

Dr Jessica Knurick has a good media literacy/propaganda breakdown of this on her instagram story right now. Basically they are repackaging the food plate in more confusing way and pretending the old food pyramid was still the most recent recommendation.

Yep, I pretty much don’t use it anymore. The exception is when I’m trying to find a recipe I pinned and made in the past so I can cook it again.

Basically you’d be “blocking” it, you just wouldn’t need to bother with any of the pins and such when you lay it flat to dry.

I’d wash it on cold in a mesh bag, air dry, and pray. But if you won’t dry clean it but are too scared to put it in the washer, you could try using a wool wash from a yarn store and soaking it for about 15 minutes. Those soaps are gentle enough that they don’t really need to get rinsed out.

I’m ready to send my 3yo to kindergarten in her brother’s backpack tomorrow. I think she’ll fit if we can squish his snow pants enough.

But have you painted daisies on a big red rubber ball?

I hope you can get through it without causing yourself too much pain!
Ignore if you don’t need advice, but Andrea Lui (TheKnittingPT) has some great stretches for wrist pain on instagram. I think she may have a YouTube as well.

Thanks for this, genuinely! We’ve been working on how to still show gratitude for a gift even if it’s not something we like (and that it’s okay to tell me privately later), but I like your more cohesive look at the day.

Idk if it’ll work either, but at least I’ll know I tried haha.

I think it’s cute! It’s not as slow-paced as something like Mr. Rogers, but it’s much calmer than a lot of the newer shows. They’re pretty wholesome premises like giving Cat a cookie shaped like a cat, helping clean up messes, things like that.

They were also a compromise growing up to let my parents sleep in a little. Stockings were on the stairs out of sight of the tree, so we could open them whenever we woke up and then entertain ourselves. We had to wait until mom and dad were awake to go upstairs and do Santa presents together.

My mom still does stockings for everyone too. My siblings and I add to hers and my dad’s now that we’re all adults.

We do stockings for adults. I fill my own but I enjoy it because I pick out fun little stuff for myself I wouldn’t normally get for myself. (My husband would fill it if I said I wasn’t going to do it anymore though!)

Yep, that’s where I was at too! I can’t speak for longevity yet because I only got them about a month ago, but my pair seems pretty high-quality so far.

I had to give up on ON’s pants bc they just never fit me right. I recently ordered a pair from Abercrombie & I’ve been happy with them. This pair at least was TTS based on their measurement chart, & they have multiple lengths + a curvy option to prevent gaping at the back. Spendier but they fit 🤷🏼‍♀️

The Ghost of Christmas Present in A Muppet Christmas Carol reminds me of Tom Bombadil. I half expect him to start singing “Hey-dol merry-dol Tom Bombadillo” every time I watch. Now I guess I need a Muppet Lord of the Rings.
