The method I'm using is ripping the Band-Aid off daily: force myself to get up at the same time each morning regardless of when I fell asleep and wind down a couple hours before sleep. Low light, no screens. Progress is being made but it has *not* been easy.

I think it's likely due in part to a combination of Covid and the health impacts of social isolation. Those factors have been common co-occurrences in the number of people I've known who have died recently. Sadly, I don't think the impact of either is taken very seriously.

Between walks through parks, tracking down gardening supplies then planting said garden, playing games and laughing with friends, cooking up a storm in preparation for the week, and starting the process of making a fermented focaccia this was a VERY busy weekend! 😁
