I have not seen this particular article, but there has been an individual in national news here who is suing ChatGPT for a very similar situation. Given that companies use psychological knowledge to hook users, doesnโ€™t surprise me at all.

Absolutely. I train psychologists, and if they donโ€™t understand the thinking behind their work, it leads to all sorts of ethical and legal issues. Also, they are training AI to become psychologist, and I think we should all resist that.

Agreed, but when aiming to help students develop their thinking, I worry about it undermining that. Also, use for frivolous reasons requires immense amounts of energy that we should be aware of, amongst other issues.
