new strategy! I saw a "too easy" four-color rainbow red herring for what it was, which meant those four words each belonged to a different color. After getting the two easy lines, that color difference helped me sort out the purple and blue categories.

I write "Newspaper Heroes on the Air," jheroes.com for short, exploring the portrayal of journalists in American old time radio drama broadcasts from the 1930s to 1960s... from fictional characters like Clark Kent to historical journalists like Nellie Bly, H.L. Mencken and Walter Cronkite.
I didn't sniff out the rainbow red herring that hooked 4% of players today until it was all over. Connbot says I had the most common solution among the 34% error free players of a fairly straightforward puzzle.
