All TRS-80 Videotex users were white men, and a surprising percentage were thoughtfully stroking their chins.

A photo of me and my cat Biscuit in front of a giant old school MS Paint themed mirror (the window is called Untitled, and it has a menu bar and buttons for tools). The canvas area is the mirror part. Biscuit looks up at me as if to ask "really?". I'm smiling, and making a peace sign

Three screen caps from the movie Hackers with text. First screen cap: Protagonist Dade (Zero Cool) explains that “I’ve got a record. I was Zero Cool.” Second screen, his friends explain: Zero Cool crashed 1507 systems in one day. Biggest crash in history. Third screen, another friend says: Front page New York Times August 10, 1988

The golden gate bridge on VHS

The golden gate bridge on VHS

While NTSC VHS has a resolution of about 260 horizontal lines, the chroma or color resolution is only about 40 lines!

You may have never noticed this as our eyes are more sensitive to luminance or brightness, but you can really see the limited color resolution in this photo of VHS playback.
