I checked a long document a few years ago that was very strangely (and badly) translated in a way that suggested some kind of pre-LLM-era machine translation and it did me in for a while, too. I haven't done an LLM TL check yet, but I guess it'll have a similar effect

previously, context errors and inconsistencies would be reliably paired with typos, grammar errors, or other basic mistakes, but LLM output will not have these kinds of mistakes and will read smoothly *at first glance* (though LLS do completely mess up proper nouns now and again, funnily enough)

People don't understand how expensive localization is when done right. For any one new language in Demonschool we would have to sell 1,500 new, full-price copies in that target language *just to make the money back.* you can work with cheaper agencies but that usually means poorly paid labor.
