Starz/Sony will squeeze all the money they can. I don't know what form it will take but I bet that if we want to see any meaningful BTS for this season, or in general, from now on we'll have to pay for it.

What makes me scratch my head is why didn't Caitriona get to direct more than episode 2? She's been more in that episode than all of 5,6,7. If she's not in the show, why not let her direct? I would have been happy with it and it would make sense, too. But to waste a year of her career for this?

By the way, I see you're from Buenos Aires. I've just come back from there 2 months ago. Splending city and people. I loved Teatro Colón. :-)

Oh, I see. I saw it on FB. But now I muted everything OL there. It only gives me bad takes from Sam's uber fans. I'm tired.

Huh? I'm not on tumblr.

Jamie made a choice on the "Faith" episode. He chose that fighting Black Jack was more important than his wife and child. While I get his reasons, he was not with Claire when she needed him most. So I don't think that Claire should not be front and center when we talk about Faith. She was all alone.

All that after Fanny takes his hand and calls him "grandda".

Not sure as this was served to me by FB and then n ever showed again. I went on to mute everythingOL. But this is a quote "Claire is front and center, as if Faith was a child she brought to Jamie by some other man, it is all about HeR loss, hEr suffering, HeR pain ... Jamie is merely an appendage. "

It's all ridiculous. MBR closed his IG account. DG is slamming the episode, although her name is up there , twice, on every episode. Caitriona went on a IG liking spree LAST episode ( when she was almost absent ) and is saying nothing now. Fans are upset. I mean, if they want talk, they got it.

Yeah. A rant on FB. It's ridiculous.

His best work was S1 to this day. I'm not saying he's bad now but he's basically doing nothing special. My opinion.

And what is funny in all this, I've seen posts ( not here ) that complain about Claire being too front and center. It's amazing to me how Jamie's ( Sam's ) fans are not satisfied unless Claire is actually totally absent. I am biased towards Claire, but really? She was fron and center? C'mon.

One more thought : seeing that everybody that Claire thought was dead ( parents, child, even Jamie for 20 years) are alive, maybe we should expect Frank to resurrect the last episode? Like, if they want to really piss off all fans, that's the surest way to go.

This whole season feels to me like a tack-on. Both leads have said they wanted another season to finish it well for the fans. And somehow, I feel like not all the fans are seen. Jamie's fans take precedence in every episode and I'm tired to even protest. What's the point? it's done.

We needed to see Fanny taking Jamie's hand and calling him grandda. No time for that.

"Faith theme" playing when Claire talks to Fanny was well done. Jamie wasn't even there when Faith died but he's "grandda" very quickly now , whereas Claire can't make even pancakes. Oh, and Claire doesn't grieve Fergus, only Jamie alone and being consoled by ... Fanny. Choices, choices.

Yeah, not holding my breath. But, in the end, as much as I love Claire and as much as I'm grateful for OL to heave introduced me to Caitriona, she's now free to spread her wings. Pretty sure that being "allowed" to direct came with conditions.See Sam's Jamie whisky, which has Sony& Starz invested.

The only storyline she has this season is "Claire's full power" and that was already sidelined by MBR. Of course she didn't have a choice, but she distanced herself from it. "We don't know how it ends" my ass.

Also, I'm preparing right now to be thoroughly dissapointent for the finale. It's going to be all about Jamie , mark my works. Diana co-wrote the script.

I'm sure she had. I just want her to come out with it, she's got nothing lo lose anymore. She put this show on the map only to see herself relegated to a supporting character in the last season. No wonder she left all responsability for the ending to MBR. She didn't want to have anything to do it.

Of course she didn't. It's, as you said, dud.

I dislike DG very much. Probably up there with MBR. They're both pompous assholes with illusions of grandeur.

I don't know that it's "fine". Watchable. I remember when S3 was on,the first season I watched real time, how exciting was to wait for a new episode and how once they started it seemed like they flew by. Now, I keep looking at the watch and hoping something will happen to keep me from going to bed.

The main issue is why was this all necessary? There are so many interesting things to explore in this show and yet, time and time again, they are picking the parts least interesting to me. We already know Jamie is The King Of Men, a great man. Very jealous. Violent. Now, merciful. What comes next??

Claire hasn't had character growth since forever. I was waiting for her to grow into her "full powers" but even that is too hard to swallow for Matt. He thinks that's just something that "happens" to Claire, so it's nothing special. Being with Jamie it'a all that's important, that's all.
