A tree-lined avenue in the Marysin suburb of Warsaw. It's so beautiful at this time of year. I love the way the shadows pattern the ground below.

During our morning walk to the supermarket, we spotted something moving in the nearby canal. A closer look revealed a herd of wild boar cooling off in the water! They hopped out and ran joyfully across the meadow. So many delights to see in Poland during spring. 🐗🌷

At this spot in Sadul, Warsaw, we saw the seasons crossing paths. Winter is saying its goodbyes while spring arrives cheerfully, bringing hope and new life along with it.
Part of the canal is still frozen over, but ducks are enjoying the water where it's already thawed.

Finally, the weather has turned! In Praga Południe, Warsaw, the sun is shining brightly and the temperature is in the double figures. A few traces of ice and slushy snow and clinging to the ground, but they should be history soon. We can't wait to enjoy the warmer weather.

Flooded beds in the Rose Garden (Różanka) in Szczecin after rain fell on frozen ground; shallow pools of water surround dormant rose bushes, with icy surfaces reflecting bare winter trees and a pergola in the background under a grey sky.
Jasne Błonia in Szczecin partially flooded due to rainwater unable to soak into frozen soil; a large sheet of standing water covers the lawn, where seagulls gather, reflecting the green façade of the Town Hall (known locally as the “Spinach Palace”) beneath overcast winter clouds.
Floodwater spread across the grass at Jasne Błonia in Szczecin after rainfall on frozen ground; seagulls stand on the shallow water and thin ice, with leafless trees, parked cars and residential buildings mirrored in the reflective surface.
A flooded patch of lawn behind Szczecin Town Hall (the Spinach Palace), with muddy meltwater pooling around bare trees and a black lamppost, reflecting the surrounding green historic buildings and parked cars on a grey winter day.
It’s The Thaw Part II in #Szczecin, where the temperature’s suddenly gone up, it’s started raining, and all that water has nowhere to go as the ground is frozen solid, so we’re doing our own version of Swan Lake but with Gulls 😹

The tiny village of Ameryka in the Pomeranian voivodeship is quite the contrast to its namesake country. Consisting of a few farm houses and a bus stop in a beautiful area of woodland, it's a nice place to take a walk and relax.

Also, I had it in mind to contact you at some point to ask if you'd be interested in being interviewed for an article or collaborating on something about Jewish history in Poland. Not trying to pressure you if now is a bad time, but maybe it will be of interest to you! Best wishes. Jan
