Are they speaking out about the increasing threat of wildfire? Do they know how bad it will get if we keep polluting like this?

Ya really, it's just reality. We might wish folks cared as much for whole ecosystems as for their own lives and life-ways, but they don't.
We gotta get this issue out of the environment box that it's stuck in.
(and it's shocking that despite so many impacts on our lives, it's still in the box)
And now you know: when someone says "climate... Blah blah... The environment is important" or whatever, you know that they haven't really thought about it or done much homework. They put it into a box so it can be tucked away from their lives, feelings, responsibilities.

Y'know... Calling climate change an environmental issue makes about as much sense as calling nuclear war an environmental issue.

You sound sensible. And I think the most honest and broad-minded ufologists wouldn't use the term 'aliens' for the phenomena... The situation is very complex. 'Angels/demons' kinda fits as well as aliens, which is not a perfect fit. 'Non-human intelligence' is popular (NHI).
Avi Lewis won the ndp leadership race. Many Canadians want a proper democratic socialist option.
I believe many more will want it once they think about it... And once the ai/war economy/Trump tariff recession comes home to roost.

Interesting! I have one colleague who, when asked to check out the evidence for ufos, says: I'll look into when the universities take it seriously. We'll here's article about why they haven't so far (in the US) and where they have.
