I completely understand the feeling since I'm having that constantly in my job! Lots of new subjects coming at me, but I'm trying to learn quickly and leaning on my colleagues for help.
It's cool learning about new subjects again though!

Working on my first education scoping review. Trying to get up to speed with education databases since I haven't used them much before.
ERIC thesaurus is interesting. I'll need to do a deep dive into it at some point.

Ugh, measles in Michigan now. So much winning. ๐
True. My family used to do Michigan to Louisiana every year to see family, and we'd do it in a single (long) day.
We've also done Michigan to Florida down I-75 a few times (Disney).
That's some Midwest road tripping.
Pretty much all the fans have been, especially the Latin American countries. It's been a non-stop party!
Except for the US fans. They've been shown up the entire tourney.
Man, there's been some great baseball in this tournament. The final has a lot to live up to!
Today I asked AI for MBTI and DISC profiles of the tourney teams because only AI would give me the kind of bs answers I need to improve my brackets. Does it make any sense? No! But nothing else is working and I can't do worse than the mascot pickers...
We're working on a name for a little speaker series that it library will be putting on, but we haven't come to with a good one yet (meaning that it should be appropriately punny). Right now it's Talking Out Loud In The Library. We can do better.
Co-teaching my first class tomorrow! Wish me luck!
Wish I had a bit more warning, but it's all good.
That's the whole reason I'm on social media in the first place!
I'm always the last to great about things... ๐ญ
Oh, that looks interesting. I'm going to have to take a look myself.
I have spent way too much time and energy picking out fabric for my office chair.
But if you're going to fiyve me free reign over the whole design, I'm going whole hog! That's your mistake, not mine, work!
Is it better to have too few opinions or too many? ๐ค
Social media engagement says the latter, at least! Leadership tends to not like it though...
Sorry, I'm no help here. But I hope you got an answer!
I'm glad that they didn't. I'd have been so fat!
That might be a "me" problem though. ๐
Most aggravating double digit win I've seen in a long time! ๐
This basketball game is getting my blood pressure up. ๐คฌ
Oh, that's a good example!
What a comeback in the third period! Then took advantage of a penalty in OT to get the win. Great win!

Everything I've heard about the series had said that the worldbuilding is INSANE. I guess the authors that write the series are anthropologists.
This is the big series on my list to read because of that worldbuilding.
It's always sad when you find something that works well then the company completely screws it up for no reason.
I hope ranting about it made you feel a bit better at least!
That's awful. Even with things I know super well I like to double check to make sure I'm not hallucinating some detail. And I'm not even sure I could do *anything* by hand anymore! ๐คฃ
One initial interview I had last year gave me the interview questions - 15 minutes before. I'm still not sure how I feel about that.
I really hated not getting responses at all. I know places are getting slammed with apps but it would be nice to know that it's because you're slow, not ghosting me!
It was a networking kind of day today. Internal networking, at least, though I wrote a blog entry on it too.
Thinking about how to network externally as well.
Don't sleep on the other identities either. All three are pretty great. I'm going to have to go check them out and grab some gear. The Dogmen gear is pretty sweet.
That's good advice. I know for this job that service on committees is one thing that is considered come promotion time. I'll definitely be looking to see what it's might suit me and skills.

I haven't been a member of any organization since I started working for the government, so I'm trying to figure out which to get involved in now. ACRL is definitely one I'm considering, along with some local ones.
Getting a chance to network again is something I'm looking forward to!
Not really. It's probably closer to a liaison librarian than anything. I'm at a smaller institution so it's a lot more general since we didn't have the staff to be that specialized.
But I think there's a component that will be scholarly communication over it gets going! Still easing in.
