HB 44 and SB 31 aim to clarify Texas’s dangerous abortion laws, but as written, they could unintentionally open the door to prosecution of pregnant people and those who support them.

USDA funding cuts cancel truckloads of food meant for East Texas Food Bank Federal funding cuts are affecting the East Texas Food Bank’s ability to distribute meals to residents in need, the chief executive officer said Wednesday.

The East Texas Food Bank serves Rains County and 25 other East Texas counties. The loss of nearly $1 million worth of food and produce will impact families throughout the region.

But the majority in the state legislature doesn't have the will to address that issue, and the federal administration is in the process of burning everything to the ground...
