rendering an animation. Here's a taste!

I'd love to know how long it takes you for models like this, start-finish. Do you have a long sketching phase? Do you do lots of iterations? In other words, can you talk about your process?

Captain Janeway is my favorite

It's been a while since I've done any pretty renders of my vehicles.

Too busy working on mod projects.

And the "Asymmetry" prompt for Spaceshiptember -- a fun little soft SF ship.

People keep asking me if I have socials. Current socials? No. This is another attempt to change that.

It is also a new front in the TTT worldbuilding project/insufferable ARG. To start out, a little bit of commissioned work for various third party Mothership projects.

And some solipsistic fanart of my own work in the Shipbreaker's Toolkit (again, Mothership).

This processing setup has proved to be really fun and has produced a lot of neat illustrations in the past week or two -- this will be the first of many, hopefully.

Transport ship! The drums rotate to provide access to specific containers. Also the big green tubes in the middle are power couplers that provide direct fusion drive power to both the front and back of the ship, allowing for thrusters fore and aft.

As in from Spacedock's series?

Notably I don't think shields exist in this universe... But other than that I think you're right. The only thing I would add is firing or dropping all munitions to reduce weight and create obstacles and confusion... "Inkcloud Protocol" or something, perhaps...

The Mudfish II! As shown in the other post! I like squid spear though, prettt much all of the Armada of R ships are pretty squiddy and speary

:DDDDD \\ Mudfish II Twin Beam Battlecruiser | Relies on allied ships for long range tracks since it's meant to fight up close (hence the absurdly large drive area.) Firepower is omnidirectional and superb, but packing the huge twin lances required removing all missile magazines.

A mostly gray viewport render of the interior of a sci-fi spaceship. A courier type called Natrix. The layout shows some blue walls and other colored components. The ship has a tower layout, due to thrust gravity under acceleration, so there are some steep ladder-stairs for the five levels.

A closeup of the cockpit and the three narrow levels underneath it, showing some ladderway and a hallway with doors, turned vertical. The cockpit has three seats, where you'd be laying on your back, and there are some black people for scale reference

'Been playing with some Natrix ship interiors, and it is a quite interesting to figure out a layout for a ship that spends most of its time under thrust gravity (tower layout), but is supposed to belly land as well.

If a battleship begets fighters, and fighters beget launching infrastructure on the battleship... Then the launching infrastructure begets a dedicated carrier! The other side is not symmetrical and features a huge recovery bay to ease large scale flight ops.
