I was a senior in HS and had a free period on non-lab days. I used to go home for breakfast. So I was watching GMA which put up a live feed of the 1st tower smoking while they speculated about what happened. And then we saw the second plane hit live.

Challenger exploded on ascent. It was the 25th shuttle launch, but people were still very into the space program and watched the launch.

The launch was just before noon and millions of schoolchildren did watch it live, particularly because there was a teacher, Christa McAuliffe was on board.

The hand-wringing on The Blacklist over, like, "does the good outweigh the bad" with Reddington is wild. Like is there bad? Sure. Has he helped avert 2-3 possible extinction-level events? Also yes.

Hmm...which one outweighs the other?
