Illustration, Laundry Tree, by Anna Llewellyn of a tree with bare branches draped with clothes. Accompanying the illustration is part of the poem "Made in Universe" by Fatmanur Koksal.
Issue 10: An Ekphrasis Adventure showcases how many different interpretations there can be to a single work of art. Fatmanur Koksal's quiet, gorgeous & unexpected poem "Made in Universe" (inspired by @anniellewe.bsky.social's illustration, Laundry Tree) demonstrates this beautifully.
Illustration by Anna Lleweylln of a tree, its bare branches draped with clothes. Accompanying the illustration is part of the poem "Well-Dressed Tree" by Lauri C. Meyers.

White Lotus Sunday! Remember these two? #whitelotus #acrylicpainting
We’re Know-Nothing Neebies By Jack Prelutsky From his book Something Big Has Been Here We’re Know-nothing Neebies with nothing to say, and certain to say it without a delay, we’re perfectly pompous, indelibly dense, we haven’t a trace of a semblance of sense.
We’re Know-nothing Neebies, complacent and proud, the things we don’t know we proclaim very loud, from summer to winter, from spring until fall, we daily display we know nothing at all. We’re Know-nothing Neebies, invincibly vain, distinguished by pates with no space for a brain, you cannot avoid us, we’ve never been rare, just look all around you, we’re found everywhere.
This #kidlit poem by the great Jack Prelutsky feels eerily similar to what we’re now witnessing on a daily basis… 👀
