Nearly 1 in 6 UK species are threatened with extinction.

We've lost 97% of our wildflower meadows since the 1930s.

We have 73 million fewer birds than in the 1970s - a decline of almost a third.

And yet some politicians still just see wildlife as a blocker to progress.

Of course my real, literary deep-cut conspiracy theory is “Christopher Marlowe was assassinated to conceal intelligence community secrets“…

“Fake Melania”. Simply because it’s so bizarre and pointless (and unlike most conspiracy theories, not based in antisemitism or some other prejudice).

AI Use Appears to Have a "Boiling Frog" Effect on Human Cognition, New Study Warns A new study claims to offer the first causal link between AI dependency and cognitive erosion. Researchers warn of long-term implications.

“We find that AI assistance improves immediate performance, but it comes at a heavy cognitive cost”
“After just [about] 10 minutes of AI-assisted problem-solving, people who lost access to the AI performed worse and gave up more frequently than those who never used it.”

I was discussing the concept of mise en scene with someone and I couldn't remember the precise definition so I looked it up. I ended up on the BBC GCSE Bitesize website and found this picture. The error in the caption could start entire WARS.

Sandra Bullock. Reece Witherspoon. Steven Soderbergh. And technically Charlize Theron (though she was mostly saying it to dunk on Timothee Chalamet).

I'm not saying there's a coordinated campaign pushing AI harder now because of recent blows to its credibility. I'm just saying it's interesting.
