It’s hilarious how “outraged” the GOP is over VA’s new 10-1 map when they didn’t give voters a choice if they want new maps in the states they gerrymandered & it was the 5 GOP-appointed justices who ruled that courts have no standing to address partisan gerrymandering in Rucho v. Common Cause.

I read the paper edition of the WaPo for 25+ years when I lived just outside DC in the 70s and 80s. I literally grew up reading it and it was THE standard for reporting.

Now I wouldn't even use it to line a bird cage.

The reality was far different. They may have been 'considered' subservient, but I knew lots of these couples growing up and 'subservient' would be one of that last words to come to mind. Moving your entire life to a foreign country takes guts, you normally won't find the meek among them.
