It is possible to disagree with Reiche's policies on renewables & disagree with fundamentalist opposition to nuclear energy.
That is why it is the right thing for Merz/Klingbeil coalition to have agreed on keeping Germany at the forefront of nuclear research. Germany trying to push rest of Europe out of nuclear would be threat to European energy security.

No. Opposite is true.
Mastering nuclear technology is in fact key to sovereigtny in terms of choices on energy and also defense.

This is a good framing. The one part where I disagree is on energy.

Und Magyars Wahl zeigt sicherlich nicht, dass der migrationsskeptische Kurs abgewählt wurde. Magyar wird diesen fortführen, wahrscheinlich mit weniger Kulturkampf, aber in Einzelfragen eher härter (Gastarbeiterprogramm Orbáns).
Und AfD & RN und andere können Lehren aus dem Ganzen ziehen. Er wird die Kräfte innerhalb der AfD stärken, die Nibelungentreue gegenüber MAGA & Trump für einen falschen Weg halten. Und diejenigen, die überzeugt sind, dass nicht jeder so leicht mit Kprruption durchkommt wie Trump.
Ungarn haben dies nach 16 Jahren und verschiedenen Versuchen, Orbán beizukommen, geschafft. Die Vorstellung, dass Versuch, so AfD & Rechtsaußen durch Brandmauern in Ländern aufzuhalten in Ländern, wo sie nie regiert haben, deshalb erfolgreicher sein wird: ich glaube nicht so recht daran.
Gescheitert sind: Anbiedern an Trump/Putin & vor allem Versuch, mit immer neuen Kulturkämpfen von Korruption, Misswirtschaft & Staat als Beute abzulenken.
Das ist kein Stopp-Signal
an Afd & Rechtsaußen in Europa. Jedes Land ist auf eigener Zeitleiste. Das kam nach 16 Jahren Rechtsaussenherrschaft.

So many friends of mine have fought for a long time for this this to happen against the odds. They failed, learned and kept the faith. Quite a few left Hungary. Today, they finally succeeded. Congratulations.

Diese Aussage kommt nicht aus der SPD-Fraktion oder aus der Opposition.
Sondern von einem Unions-Abgeordneten.
"Diese dogmatische Ansage, Freihandel sei zu jeder Zeit, in jedem Sektor, mit jedem Land immer gesetzt, ist falsch. Mit China muss man an die Grenzen dieses Paradigmas gehen".

German and European politicians and businesswomen these days often return from China trips wowed by advances in robotics. Rarely do they come back and say "Wow. These guys are taking energy security, economic security & supply chains seriously. So should we". But they should.
One example is using more coal and less oil for making petrochemicals, using German technology used during WW II.
And investing in new processes using electricity.
The Trump-Netanyahu war vindicates Xi. The investments in energy security and broader economic security to steel China for war with the US were necessary -- and are already paying dividends.
