100% agree. We took what we could get back in the day (and Deadline prospered… which is why I am so fucking disappointed in them. They used to mean something. Now they’re just Extra Hollywood at best, studio propaganda at normal). Not the power of writers speaking to each other now! Love it.

I mean… we had Nikki Finke. And only Nikki Finke. And she built an empire on telling the truth about the strike. Then she went crazy (or something, I’m not exactly sure what happened) and then Deadline sold its soul to be Variety Reporter Junior with 1/20th the readership and profits. Ugh.
