They do make a CR-V with AWD too. But good winter tires are the key to safe winter driving. My little FWD hatchback gets me around no problem in the snow.

Tonight I was looking around the kitchen for the adult who should come in and figure out what's for dinner, and then cook it. Unfortunately I was that adult.

This happened to me a few years ago, no claims but they raised my rate maybe 25%. Pretty satisfying to call and cancel the whole thing, I actually paid less than their original rate with the new company. Definitely shop around. (Does your work have a group plan?)

Exactly. I don’t care where you’re from, that’s a skill that needs to be learned, it’s not always intuitive.

On a more serious note, shouldn't there be some sort of snow driving instruction for *every* driver who gets a license in Canada?

In every traffic post in my local FB group someone is guaranteed to jump right to thinly-veiled racism, as if being able to use the snow as camouflage automatically makes you a better driver.
