Mosswood Apothecary JP Rinfleisch IX 3 out of 5 stars. The story was cute. I enjoyed Rowan as a character and Jimson was a fun love interest. I always love, as a chubby gay men, having a chubby male love interest. The magic system with alchemy is fun, especially with how separate the different schools of alchemy are, but comes together. I am always a slut for forest spirits, so I did enjoy that.

The author mentioned the book being originally more episodic before being written together. There were some time skips that were disjointed, and it was difficult to track exactly how much time passed. I did have some issue with the pacing and character development. Calder I think should've cooked longer on his redemption. Rowan was a bit generic protagonist. Jimson was fun backwood lumberjack boyfriend. Marley and Elara kinda overlapped a lot and didn't have super distinct personalities.

Overall, I did enjoy this book but it wasn't the best read ever, so hence the 3 stars for me. Middle of the road, good, had some good concepts, but some of the writing left something to be desired. Bottom Image: Image of cover of Mosswood Apothecary.

I made butter chicken mac and cheese based off a TikTok I found that I liked.

My first attempt the seasonings felt off but overall good!

This go around I feel like my spices were closer to what I want but not quite. I also think the recipe just needs SOMETHING. Its missing an OOMPH

Okay it wasn't TERRIBLE, but there was a ton of awkward silence. The most he spoke was when he went on about how he hates polyamory after I mentioned my previous relationship was poly. He was honestly kinda rude and killed the vibe.

BUT with that in mind! If you are someone looking for a new music streaming service, despite the cons, those are pretty MINOR issues. Overall, its a solid service, the audio quality is good, and they pay artists well. Tbh I think they just need to cook a bit longer and fix a few of the app issues.

- cont. Also the volume control is not great, I will want some music as background noise and have it just a step above muted and still too loud.

I've been debating going back to Youtube Music, I do pay for Youtube Premium so its already included, so why not? Tbh I'm pretty set on switching back.

- cont. So I would prefer it if when I use it, that it starts automatically in my car like Spotify or Youtube Music did.
- The desktop app has some issues. Sometimes it opens in the tray but not the actual app, and sometimes the app will pop up when I open it. I'm honestly not sure why it does that.

Cons:
- The artist organization is a bit of a mess. One artist I listen to had his profile mixed up with someone else, so when I was on his profile I was confused and thought I had the wrong person.
- There is no autoplay, sometimes when I get in my car and the Bluetooth connects I want it to start.

I've been using Qobuz for a few months now as my main music streaming. It has a lot of ups, but also a few downs.

Pros:
- One of the better paying per stream to artists
- Amazing sound quality
- Good variety, I only had to give up a few indie artists
- The price is very reasonable
