Anyways I'm feeling pretty pumped about this place. Liked the people I interviewed with. Company culture seems strong. Pretty much fully remote with some occasional meetings IRL locally or w/travel. When I do have to work in office, it's a 5 minute walk to one of the best breweries in the metro.

Top 2 finalist for position. Found out last week I didn't get it but they expressed how much they wanted me. This week someone abruptly put in their 2 weeks. They immediately reached back out. Signing my paperwork today, and circumstances probably boosted my pay.

Don't want to jinx anything, but I think having a job interview go 30 minutes over with a director and getting a follow up interview request scheduled later in the week with assistant directors 5 minutes after the interview ended seems like a good sign?

To be quite honest, today was not the ideal way for me to learn I share a birthday with Prince Andrew. Especially as someone who's middle name is also Andrew.

For the first time since October (4ish months), I had an extended dance game session (over an hour). That felt nice.

This is a Vince Gilligan thing (ex - Skylar in Breaking Bad). He's very meticulous for doing things the way he does, but it usually means there's a satisfying payoff later on.

I do not recommend dealing with Nintendo's customer service. They try everything possible except just letting you sending in the controller for repair even if it's still under the 1 year warranty.
