OMG, David, this is horrible :( But I believe the majority of researchers do heavily (yet silently) respect the work PCs do. And those who ever done something on the scale of chairing/editor-in-chief/etc. just applaud you silently for taking on this extremely demaning job. Keep going!

Sadly, PRISM makes perfect sense in a world with 28,000 NeurIPS submissions, the idea that the writing of a paper to get bullets on a cv is all that matters, and the further idea that a blog post on a corporate site is equivalent to a paper.
