You can also use third party services to facilitate requests on your behalf. Like mine saymine.com but of course be weary and vet these too.

Here’s the thing…scummy companies like Meta make it EXTREMELY difficult to do this and you’ll consistently go in circles navigating their help page. But by law they MUST comply—always find an email for these kinds of companies or submit a support ticket.

How to request PII access or deletion:
• google “<company> gdpr request” there usually a form or email
• specify if you wan to ACCESS or DELETE your PII (or both)
• the company must process within 30 days

One of the most eye-opening things to learn working with data is just how messy and chaotic PII is.

Sorry to say, but your data is everywhere and while many companies cant/wont admit it, they likely don’t know the full scope of what they have on you. So you have to protect yourself.

This month already feels like a year.
