As a committees reporter, I regularly worked 10+hr days & through the night without overtime. To expect reporters to RTO only on certain days with too few benefits is exploitative and without reason. They've been successful WFH for years. Let them do their jobs flexibly @ Fiscal Note.
FiscalNote may have delayed its illegal return to office plan due to road closures but we’re still up here on Capitol Hill doing our jobs — just like we’ve been doing for years. Snow, a pandemic and even an insurrection haven’t ever stopped us from showing up to work.

We’d much rather spend the very limited time at the bargaining table that FiscalNote gives us negotiating our first contract. Instead we’re arguing over what is clearly an illegal return to office policy that violates our status quo rights.
While FiscalNote executives have been working from home, many members of our unit have been “returning to office” for years now to report on government funding, the presidential election and more pressing matters.
Unfortunately, the CQ Roll Call Guild was forced to file an unfair labor practice complaint with the National Labor Relations Board today against FiscalNote for violating our status quo protections by trying an implement an arbitrary and illegal return to office policy.
