In her case, she got a complete response to the treatment. And recurrence rate is very low for those with complete response. 2.5yrs post-treatment now!
Don't even want to think about what would have happened had it occurred just a few years earlier. Incredibly thankful for how far we've come.

A fairly new immunotherapy was a lifesaver for my better half. The type of breast cancer she had was aggressive & the stats weren't great for her situation. Her surgeon even advised us to ignore those, as they didn't reflect outcomes from the treatments that had emerged within the past 5 years.
Juraj Slafkovsky has scored five goals in his first six NHL playoff games. The last NHLer to have more in his first six was a fellow named Mario Lemieux in 1989.
For the longest time for me it was Bob Marley's Legend. I've since dug deeper and am pleased to have done so.
Can't think of any other greatest hits albums that fit the bill here, but surely there's plenty of artists where I only know some hits but haven't yet had the urge to go digging.
Some stupid penalties in the bunch too though, from both sides.
I'll go with Gallagher. It's his time to shine.
I'm not so sure I'll ever get there myself
Still got mine in the backyard, it'll get chopped up and thrown in the compost in the near future. Burning looks way more fun.
Walked uptown and back in pants. Immediate switch to shorts when I got back home.
Gingerbread hearts hanging by ribbon at a German market
These, basically. But ours will be smaller.
We're going ingredient gathering today, and I've already prepared the gingerbread spice blend. Dry run will teach me how to make them + give me an idea of how many batches to make for the real deal.
Should be interesting.
8 wants to have a Germany booth at his school's multicultural night in May. Since food is always the big thing at these, we'll be making gingerbread hearts, like you see at German markets (only ours will be smaller).
Never made em before. Never really bake. Dry run next weekend. Wish me luck!
I haven't encountered a quadruple IPA yet but the triples sure pack a punch.
Vicars Cross is nice when you want a beer but also want to feel wasted after just the one
A glass of beer next to a Big Spruce Kitchen Party Organic Pale Ale can
It's a good one for sure.
Got a favourite on the go here myself
Does the beer match the glass?
Too nice out to consider jinxing implications
Temperature station showing 20 degrees celcius
I think winter might be over
Oh God said to Abraham, “Kill me a son”
Abe says, “Man, you must be puttin’ me on”
God say, “No.” Abe say, “What?”
God say, “You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin’ you better run”
Well Abe says, “Where do you want this killin’ done?”
God says, “Out on Highway 61”
And it's, of course, been happening since before October 2023 too. There's IDF-shot video of them yucking it up and having a grand old time executing kids during the Great March of Return in 2018. It's sickening.
Wonder who will experience the first legal drink while hanging from an establishment's ceiling
I have no idea & no recollection of that, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case!
We know Hughes likes how Dobson plays given that he went & acquired him, so drafting a comparable player would make a lot of sense.
For sure. Even just watching Reinbacher skate, I've done a few double takes first thinking it was Dobson. Gives me great optimism for RD going forward having both of them there.
I wonder how much of sticking with college for another year has to do with his brother going there, and to be there with him during that 1st year. Given the loss the Hage family went through not that long ago, this might be a "what is best for my family" decision, which highlights his character.
Agreed, he looks steady out there. Actually reminded me of Dobson quite a bit, which is fitting.
Album cover for Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Another 5-star day, care of @1001albumsgen.bsky.social!
Nothing even remotely new-to-me with this one, but definitely love having an excuse to give this a listen today, even if it hasn't been all that long since the last one.
Going to Saint John to avoid rough conditions is certainly a choice
Sounds like a new candidate for the Beef Stew nickname has emerged.
