If he’s not healthy, unlikely he joins the Habs at this point, right? So is ATO with Laval for their playoffs to the extent he’s capable, followed by his ELC starting next season w/ Montreal / Laval a possibility ?

Holy shit…that was dope.

Guhle had his best game of the season last night, and has looked to be a changed player the past 3 games. He needs to embrace his inner Shea Weber, a player he was regularly compared to in his draft and draft+1 years.

Compare what Anaheim & Quenneville has done behind the bench with what the Habs have done. I’m an MSL lover, but leaving the Canadiens’ coaching staff as hollow as it is currently is such an obvious (and easily remedied) oversight of this team’s construction.

Plenty of people said it all off season long. I hope they set aside MSL’s ego and bring in an experienced, former head coach to be an associate with him next year. It’s one of a few key missing pieces on this team.

Personally I don’t think Gallagher is being kept in the lineup for his skill or production, but for his leadership, effort and intangible qualities. A Gallagher to Laine exchange with those considerations is a downgrade.

Great read Brian. I love the kid line as much as anyone, but it’s strange to me that as they falter hardly anyone is suggesting the obvious: putting Slaf back on line 1. To my eyes, Habs already have the perfect guy to compliment Suzuki/Caufield, what they need is a true play driver for line 2

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to notice that their outfit looked very “patriot front”-esque

As a Habs fan, I think it was a marginal win that Auston was not at the State of the Union (I think?). Whether that was simply a time crunch or a political statement, I don’t know. A photo op at the White House is one thing, but political prop use at the SOTU is a step farther.

Having MAGA-girl Gwen Stefani & Putin-apologist Fred Durst as headliners in 2026 is inexcusable

Needed to end it in regulation. Too many close calls and missed chances for Canada. The boys played great.

Honestly will say it again, 3 on 3 OT in gold medal game is such a brutal way to end it.

Didn’t happen. Quite pleased as a Canada fan that Habs’ Canfield & Hutson are not available for this upcoming 3on3

Regardless of the outcome, really hope this game gets decided in regulation, 5on5. Feels like such a step down to have a game of this importance settled by Globetrotter 3on3 hockey

Still plenty of time left, and more Canadian talent on the ice than can be quantified, but Finland not the team you want to be down 2 against. #olympics

I don’t like it at all. But everyone’s entitled to their opinion.

I don’t have an issue with it, per se, it’s obviously so exciting, but don’t want Stanley Cups decided by it. Don’t even love the gold medal being potentially decided by it but at a short, “gotta get this done” tournament it makes sense.

Congrats to the boys. But man. What a game by Czechia. That’s why 4 nations was some bull-ish

And he just saved the day.

Wasn’t meant to blame. I only saw the play once. Merely that he was on the play.

He’s my favourite Canadien but Suzuki has not been stellar this tournament, and he was all over the play that led to go-ahead goal.

Cale Makar is somehow underrated. He’s right alongside MacK in my head, both of them, at their best, get very close to McDavid’s crown.

Welcome to the era of oligarchy and kleptocracy. Bezos is one chief oligarch, one of our owners. “They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying…lobbying to get what they want… well we know what they want, they want more for themselves and less for everybody else.” - Carlin, 2005

You made us proud yesterday, Mark. And it feels even better after the hardly-veiled threat from mobster-in-chief down south today. Elbows up.

Sammy Blais was beginning to fill precisely this role. Never seemed like the game to bench him to me.

Checking in to social media for first time this game and glad this is the first thing I’m seeing. Habs are being heavily outplayed.

He starts every season hot. Then inevitably also has a cold patch somewhere in the season. And then when he snaps out of it he'll score 12 goals in 5 games

I didn't think there was any rush to get this deal done, but for that price x term, I can't find a reason to complain about it.
