I think £5 is reasonable as both a buyer and a creator. I wouldn't pay more than £7 for 24 pages and it'd have to be really good for that price.
I often wondered about flatting pages for colouring but there are still people who get paid to do it so...
Learn every aspect of the process, from initial concept to print and everything in-between. You don't have to be good at it, but you need to know how it all works.
I tabled at Thought Bubble next to the guy who made Cactus Kid. Nice guy and my kids like the comics.
Sceptic or team believer?
@simonrussell.bsky.social maybe a good date for another event at the Open Market?
After we've eaten all the billionaires there'll be plenty of money for stuff like this.
All public transport should be free to use for everyone.
Do what Joe Lycett did on Kuenssburg and pretend to be on their side. Highlight how shit AI is whilst singing its praises for all the things it can almost do.
From @blambot.bsky.social Blambot Website. If Nate says so, that's the rule.
Yes? That's how I do it anyway and it doesn't look odd to me.
Only on 'I' and at the start of a sentence.
A 5 year old won't do a very good job so you'll end up having to do it anyway. I speak from experience.
Make a comic and complete every stage yourself. Write it, draw it, colour it, letter it, get pages ready for print, print it...
Having an understanding of the whole process, and the pitfalls that go with each part, makes things so much easier in the long run.
A promotional image for SCARF (Sheffield Comic ARts Fair). A young woman with red hair and a long scarf is reading a comic - there is text to her left confirming that the exhibitor form is now open for applications.
The Exhibitor Application Form for the inaugural SCARF is now open!
Please go here to fill out the form: forms.gle/uXsDuKcCyhdr...
And let me know if you find any issues with it!
(re-posting this in case the algo punishes me for quote posting..!)
I've recently done the opposite. Only used to play distorted as I thought Clean sounded shit and lifeless. About a year ago I tried out a reverb and a chorus pedal and everything changed. Mostly play clean these days, maybe with a slight bit of overdrive.
What else have you been doing with it, then?
Bluey isn't crap.
Nice one!

Solar panels on roofs are optimised for absorbing the most amount of sunlight. I don't see how they could reflect downwards in to anyones field of view. This would only be an issue if the neighbour lived in a building opposite to, and significantly higher, than the paneled roof, right?
His detractors know he's racist and hate him for it. His supporters know he's racist and like him for it.
Why doesn't he just own it, he's absolutely one of the worst human beings to ever exist.
Hope it goes well tonight!
Hi @danwhite.bsky.social is there any way to buy vol II of Cindy & Biscuit directly from you? Got vol I for my son at Winchester and he loves it. Would rather not buy from Amazon.
An lovely tabby cat.
