New paper out! We compared wheat and spelt in the field under irrigated vs rainfed conditions and conventional vs organic farming. Spelt showed greater resilience to drought, while soil management strongly shaped microbial communities🌾

📢Excited to share a new paper from my PhD thesis at @fisioklima.bsky.social!🌾Sorghum maintained better photosynthetic performance and water use efficiency than maize under high CO2, hig temperature and drought, even without a growth advantage. A promising climate-resilient crop!
