Farewell Moya Brennan. I remember the room where I first heard your voice. I remember hearing Clannad live for the first time and I've loved the music you made. Rest well and may your portion this day be in peace 🙏

This is a very good review of the current legal situation in the UK regarding workplace toilets in the light of the Supreme Court Judgment and High Court ruling. It's a sad state but this is accurate at least.

You are doing a good thing by being you in all sorts of ways. Appreciation coming your way 👍
I feel you. Keep being gloriously you. This is their season but if we are wise we can keep more life-giving values alive x
It is sad when the vice-president of the United States sees his job as spreading Kremlin propaganda.
A header graphic for an article featuring a "QM" logo in the top left. On the left side is a modified detail from Leonardo da Vinci's painting "The Last Supper." One of the figures, leaning forward and pointing a finger, is wearing a red "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" hat. On the right side, against a dark, textured background, large text reads: "LESBIANS LIKE ME JOINED FORCES WITH CONSERVATIVES. NOW THEY'RE TURNING ON US" followed by the author's name, "Reid Newton".
The most predictable thing ever happened. Don't say trans people didn't warn y'all.
Another proud leopards eating faces party member.
Yet another "study" which lies about transition-related healthcare. It's clear aim is to remove it entirely.
Meanwhile abuse of trans and non binary people continues within our health systems, with increasing numbers of GPs refusing to be a part of it.
A longer version of this argument with more historical detail is on my substack under the title “The Next Coup Attempt.” (17/17)

This is probably true. It’s such a nice idea that I wouldn’t even care if it wasn’t true.
"We also have cisgender men as unit helpers and activity advisers, and there’s never been any objection to any of these men being involved in Girlguiding events.”
Transphobia is a men's rights movement in drag.
Pregnancy deaths in the NHS at highest level for two decades Eleanor Hayward - Health Editor, Rosie Taylor Women dying during pregnancy, labour or soon after giving birth is at the highest level for two decades despite the NHS receiving dozens of recommendations to act on lifethreatening symptoms. Analysis by The Times found the NHS was issued with 67 warnings between 2013 and 2023 to take signs of potentially fatal complications in mothers seriously. Over the same decade, there was a 50 per cent rise in the UK’s maternal death rate — deaths in pregnancy, childbirth, or the six weeks after giving birth — from 8.54 per 100,000 pregnancies in 2013 to 12.80 in 2023. The last time the rate was this high was in 2005. The most recent available data shows 257 women died in the two years to 2023. The biggest killer was blood clots, followed by heart problems, suicide, stroke, sepsis and severe bleeding. Over the past decade, a series of reviews have issued 748 recommendations for improving NHS maternity services across 59 official reports. One in ten recommendations were aimed at preventing women dying. Analysis shows hospitals have been told 23 times to promptly assess and treat women experiencing blood clots and strokes. They were also told 13 times to take reports of severe pain seriously, 12 times to act on signs of severe bleeding, ten times to be aware of heart conditions in women, and nine times to ensure maternity staff recognise signs of sepsis. There have also been 31 recommendations to improve mental health and support services. Campaigners said hospitals were inundated with recommendations but not given funding to act on them. A national maternity inquiry is due to deliver its findings in the summer.

This Sunday is Easter Sunday! There's too much on offer from God to actually describe here. Come and get it!
Great news out of Georgia!
ALL of the 15 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have died as the Georgia legislative session comes to a close.
This was only possible with intense efforts from local LGBTQ+ activists.

“Europe is an extremely attractive continent. For months I’ve been saying this. And thanks to our American friends, I now have an unprecedented selling point: We are predictable.”
"Some of the banks have agreed to spend tens of millions on the chatbot, and they have already started integrating Grok into their I.T. systems, three of the people said."
I guess this explains why my ATM just offered me a horse in exchange for a handjob.
“The CPS guidance makes clear that a Trans+ person not disclosing their gender to a sexual partner will not always be a crime, but the limits of this are unclear.”
Laws continue to undermine the autonomy and privacy of trans people, especially when they encourage the punishment of “gender fraud.”
Ohio just introduced HB798, an omnibus anti-trans bill that targets every aspect of trans peoples lives. It bans trans people from bathrooms, even in private businesses. It retroactively bans gender marker changes on birth certificates and drivers licenses. It compels misgendering in schools.
More than a decade ago, I experienced exactly this when the older girls at my school graduated a year ahead of me. When that connection disappeared, I spiralled into severe depression. And if I had known how to access the care I needed, my path would have been profoundly different.

Quite so. There's a few of those to be sure!
It's a pain. I had folks who I kept in touch with there. Also it's ridiculous. I absolutely posted nothing inappropriate and friends are telling me that the VPN thing sounds like an overreaction by their system. However if meta know less about me, perhaps that's ok
