Back of book cover copy for The Moon Blessed King, which reads: In the daring sequel to The Sun Blessed Prince, Elician and Cat must confront the goddess of death to save their nations. But could it already be too late?

Elician is a Giver with the power to raise the dead, and though it’s forbidden for Givers to rule, he is crowned King of Soleb. Determined to end a generations-long war with the kingdom of Alelune, he is prepared to marry Cat, Alelune's rightful heir.

But Cat is a Reaper, able to kill with a touch, and feared by even his own people. His claim to the throne is a gamble at best, but before he can challenge his tyrannical brother, Gillage, the goddess of death releases a devastating plague across the continent.

To stop it, Elician and Cat must confront Death herself, leaving Elician's rebellious sister, Fen, to do what she can to heal the sick in their absence. But when a coup threatens to upend her brother’s reign, Fen must decide exactly what she is willing to sacrifice to help her brother succeed.

With two countries at stake, the death toll rising, and the struggle for Alelune’s throne hanging in the balance, it’s a race against time to appease the wrath of a god.

I'm delighted to share this book with the world, The Moon Blessed King is a queer political fantasy novel about love, loss, and questioning the relationship between life and death.

Out 16 April (UK) and 28 April everywhere else!

I never used Grammerly, because it never did really understand the point of grammar and just...used a bunch of rules. Grammar (and punctuation and even spelling) is actually really squishy and alive and changing.

And it's such an incredibly good book!

I guess folks are sick of hearing about the invasion of my city, especially as some tiny symbolic concessions have been made and the lawmakers might kind of talk about giving the invaders slightly less money. But it's still happening. We are still invaded. They are still abducting my neighbors.

The full excerpt: “[A]n extremely slow burn that pays off exponentially. The sex is super hot. Because Skylar and Pike learn early to communicate about pain and limitations, they’re great communicators by the time they do eventually hook up, which makes for some steamy dirty talk. Together they learn that while chronic illness comes with restrictions, their desire for one another does not. A strong debut about characters who meet

Mainstream Canadian media is not accurately reporting what is happening. Today, I've viewed several horrifying videos of people with proper papers being violently detained. Friends, when you next vote--in Canada or elsewhere--ask yourself if this is the world you want to live in.
