Author holding up paperback copy of book entitled "The Moon Blessed King" by Lindsey Byrd. It is a blue cover with moon motifs.
Dedication inside the book which reads: This book is dedicated to all of the essential workers, first responders and primary caregivers who worked tirelessly through the Covid-19 pandemic. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your service.
Back of book cover copy for The Moon Blessed King, which reads: In the daring sequel to The Sun Blessed Prince, Elician and Cat must confront the goddess of death to save their nations. But could it already be too late? Elician is a Giver with the power to raise the dead, and though it’s forbidden for Givers to rule, he is crowned King of Soleb. Determined to end a generations-long war with the kingdom of Alelune, he is prepared to marry Cat, Alelune's rightful heir. But Cat is a Reaper, able to kill with a touch, and feared by even his own people. His claim to the throne is a gamble at best, but before he can challenge his tyrannical brother, Gillage, the goddess of death releases a devastating plague across the continent. To stop it, Elician and Cat must confront Death herself, leaving Elician's rebellious sister, Fen, to do what she can to heal the sick in their absence. But when a coup threatens to upend her brother’s reign, Fen must decide exactly what she is willing to sacrifice to help her brother succeed. With two countries at stake, the death toll rising, and the struggle for Alelune’s throne hanging in the balance, it’s a race against time to appease the wrath of a god.
I'm delighted to share this book with the world, The Moon Blessed King is a queer political fantasy novel about love, loss, and questioning the relationship between life and death.
Out 16 April (UK) and 28 April everywhere else!

I never used Grammerly, because it never did really understand the point of grammar and just...used a bunch of rules. Grammar (and punctuation and even spelling) is actually really squishy and alive and changing.
And it's such an incredibly good book!
This is my 5th time writing for @marchxness.bsky.social and my 1st time in the Sweet 16!
Vince and I face a formidable opponent in @erinkeane.bsky.social and GNR. Only you can determine the saddest, 90s-est song:

Another tough day for team “there’s no point in complaining about AI, just accept it.”
The end is probably temporary but I'll treasure my illusions for now.
Finally past the self-flagellation phase of revision and into the 'look at all this cool stuff I can add' phase.

I guess folks are sick of hearing about the invasion of my city, especially as some tiny symbolic concessions have been made and the lawmakers might kind of talk about giving the invaders slightly less money. But it's still happening. We are still invaded. They are still abducting my neighbors.
❤️ This is nice because I'm terrible at remembering my platforms. But happy to celebrate your book everywhere!
Happy Book Birthday to @collinsauthors.bsky.social! I was lucky enough to have a sneak peek at this book and it's a fantasy lover's dream sequel! If you haven't read their first book yet, now you can have both!
“The old order is not coming back. We should not mourn it. Nostalgia is not a strategy. But from the fracture, we can build something better, stronger and more just." It’s well worth watching the @mark-carney.bsky.social address in its entirety.
she's adorable! 😍
A blue graphic with a snowboard and the title it’s all in your head by Sabina Nordqvist with the Kirkus star review “: an extremely slow burn that pays off exponentially
The same slide with a different quote: the sex is super hot. This one features Skyler from my cover sitting at the bottom with her phone and IIH socks.
The same slide with a different quote: a strong debut about characters who meet in the pause between pain and hope. This one has a pill from the cover of my book
The full excerpt: “[A]n extremely slow burn that pays off exponentially. The sex is super hot. Because Skylar and Pike learn early to communicate about pain and limitations, they’re great communicators by the time they do eventually hook up, which makes for some steamy dirty talk. Together they learn that while chronic illness comes with restrictions, their desire for one another does not. A strong debut about characters who meet in the pause between pain and hope.” This one features pike from my cover standing with his cane leaning against the excerpt and a pair of his goggles. At the bottom it says it’s all in your head is out February 10
So honored to share that It’s All In Your Head got a Kirkus Starred Review!! ⭐️
Congratulations, Sabina!!
Congratulations!
This is helpful. I can put it off! (Though still intrigued by how they get the Norman Conquest in there.)
I haven't seen it yet, but this is not a glowing recommendation! 🤣
Mainstream Canadian media is not accurately reporting what is happening. Today, I've viewed several horrifying videos of people with proper papers being violently detained. Friends, when you next vote--in Canada or elsewhere--ask yourself if this is the world you want to live in.
This week, Historians At The Movies gets to talk about the South, Jim Crow, the Klan, music, and motherlovin’ VAMPIRES. Join us on Prime Video this Sunday, January 18th at 8pm eastern for SINNERS.
Keep #HATM growing by sharing and we’ll see you soon!
I'm doing a Reddit AMA for the next couple of hours, along with a bunch of other 2025 debut authors from different age categories and genres. Pop in if you're curious what the debut process is like!

Ooh, I did not expect Jodie Comer's character to be a daughter figure. Okay, I'm finally interested!
